Sonia’s weekly news

SoniaThe first full week of the autumn term has now been completed and I am pleased to report that the pupils have settled extremely well and have quickly and successfully learnt their individual timetables and are enjoying the many learning opportunities on offer to them.

This week we have learnt that, following their amazing performance at the Music for Youth national event in Birmingham, Rubik’s Cube have been invited to perform at the ROYAL ALBERT HALL in London as part of the Music for Youth Proms which is one of the UK’s most prestigious youth music concerts. This really is an amazing achievement and, as you can imagine, as a school we are very excited. The performance will take place at the end of November. Further details will follow for those it concerns.

Next week we will be busy planning for the upcoming Shakespeare Schools’ Festival when we will be studying A Midsummer Night’s Dream. All pupils across the school will be involved in this aspect of learning through the English curriculum.
