Sonia’s Weekly News – 5th October 2015
Well another week passes by and Osborne has been as busy as always. Last week the pupils took part in a functional learning day and were very busy making articles and putting the skills they have learnt in various curriculum areas to the test. From what I have seen so far they were all enjoying the activities and making some excellent produce (please see the photos below from our school photographer Claire McErlean).
Some pupils took part in the Shakespeare’s schools festival cast workshop this week at the Theatre Royal and from what I have heard they all had a great time and are really developing their understanding of Shakespeare and their literacy skills.
The outside play space is really starting to take shape and pupils are getting very excited watching it take shape. Hopefully it wont be too much longer and they will be able to enjoy the great benefits it will have to offer.
Next week we start on the first EHCP transfer reviews. Please do not forget we are on hand to give you any support you may require. Please contact the school in the normal way to make an appointment.
Just one reminder – on the 12th October from 5pm onwards we have our open evening and futures evening it will be a great opportunity to look at what the future holds for your young person beyond school and to see your young persons work. I look forward to seeing you all there.
Enjoy the week and fingers crossed for continued sunshine!
Sonia
