Sonia’s Weekly News – 12th October 2015

SoniaI am looking forward to seeing many parents and young people this evening at our annual parents and futures evening.  If you can make it I am sure you will find it worthwhile, not only will you be able to view your young persons hardwork, meet school staff and see lots of work the school does as a whole, but you will also have the opportunity to attend the futures event where you will be able to engage with future providers post Osborne.  Whilst for some of you this may feel like a long time away it really does go very quickly and always worth thinking about well in advance.
Rubiks Cube have started their practice for  their performance at the Royal Albert Hall with a concert at the YMCA in Southampton. You will have the opportunity to see and hear some of their songs at the Open Evening.

Once again last week both pupils and staff worked extremely hard and I am sure this week will be no different. The pupils will experience different learning on Tuesday when the army will be in school all day.
I am sure you will have all now received the consultation letter regarding the proposed closure of the schools residential unit.  If you would like to make comment, details of who to contact are enclosed within the letter.
I can’t believe that we are now only two weeks away from half term; if you are able to attend celebration assembly at 10 am on the last day of term it will be a delight to see you.
Hope you all have an enjoyable week.
Sonia
