Sports Day 2016

On Wednesday 22nd of June Osborne School held its annual sports day. The event consists of a carousel of different activities in the morning followed by races in the afternoon. In the past the Army have supported the day, however, this year Sports Leaders from Hamble Community Sports College helped run the activities and races.

Even the cloudy skies and rain couldn’t dampen the pupils’ enthusiasm in the morning activities. Pupils had the opportunity to take part in various activities including, cricket, football, boccia, javelin, shot putt, New Age Kurling and golf. Scores were given to all taking part with the top 3 in each group gaining points for their house.

In the afternoon the races began in brighter conditions. It started with individual races followed by relays. All pupils had the opportunity to take part in the races organised on need. Hamble Community Sports College Young Leaders started the races and collected the results. With Mrs O’Donnell on the mic, Caroline collating the scores and Mr Dlugokecki providing the music and excellent and enjoyable day was had by all.
