Garden Makeover courtesy of ‘Denplan’

Last Friday a team of employees from Denplan, the UK’s leading dental payment plan provider, volunteered at school for the day. As part of Denplan’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility the volunteers helped to give a garden makeover to our horticulture area. The team worked tirelessly all day to clear the garden in preparation for a new accessible pathway that will be built in the next few weeks. The team also painted and planted some raised decorative flower beds that are now looking beautiful.

We can not thank the team enough for their hard work and we are so glad they enjoyed their day in the sunshine away from their office! We hope to invite the team back to see the finished garden later in the term.

Denplan is just one business that takes part in Community First’s Employee Volunteering Scheme where the business sector supports the charity and voluntary sector through volunteering.  This can be through team volunteering days where practical tasks are carried out such as at Osborne School or via the skill share scheme. This is when a business has a team or individual that delivers a workshop to a number of charities around areas such as presentation skills, marketing & social media, management processes, photography & film making and so on. Whether you own your own business, are an SME or multinational you can make a difference.
