‘Winchester Go LD’ are a holding a parent/carer drop-in evening on Wednesday 21st June at 7.30pm-9pm at the Children’s area of the Winchester Discovery Centre.
Their first event was a big success, so they’ve decided to hold events more regularly throughout the year.
At the event you can:
- Meet other parents and carers
- Air concerns and issues that are affecting the group and individuals
- Keep up to date with what’s happening in the area of learning disabilities in the Winchester area.
Winchester Go LD believe a learning disability affects the way a person learns, processes information and is able to communicate. This can affect everyday activities like household tasks, socialising and managing money. Winchester Go LD believes that people should be treated as equals and given the same respect and opportunities as everyone else. That means full choice and control in their lives, such as where to live, work and socialise. Living life to its full potential.
