Welcome message from the Headteacher – September 2017
Dear Parents and Carers
A very warm welcome back to a new academic year, especially to all our new pupils and parents. I do hope that you had a relaxing summer and are ready for this new exciting year.
There have been a number of improvements made to the school environment over the summer holidays which I am sure your young people have told you about. We have installed lots of new photographs around the school illustrating all the hard work your young people put in whilst at Osborne. I do hope you enjoy them when you visit. There has also been a new Multi-use Games Area installed on the field to enhance the sports provision; the old Light and Sound room has been refurbished and a new Sensory Room installed in Osborne College. You will be able to see all these areas in full working order at our Open Evening and Future Events on Monday 9 October 2017.
This year’s summer results were very pleasing with all Year 11s, and some students from Osborne College, achieving the accreditation they were entered for.
The academic year has got off to a good start and I am very pleased to see that all pupils have settled extremely well. They have quickly and efficiently got down to work, embracing the timetable and curriculum on offer to them.
Please keep an eye on the website www.osborneschoolwinchester.com for all the latest school news and plans for the coming year.
Please do not hesitate in contacting the school at any time if you have anything you would like to discuss and here’s wishing you a successful year. I look forward to seeing you all throughout the year.
Yours sincerely
Sonia O’Donnell
