Osborne School win big at the Chairman’s Year of Music Awards
Osborne School have won 1st place in the Special school category for music in the first Chairman’s Year of Music Award scheme.
Our school also won awards for ‘Highest number of School Concerts’ and an award for the ‘Highest number of enrichment tokens’ (for our amazing music therapy and drumming sessions). The event was curated by the previous Chairman of Hampshire Council, Keith Chapman MBE.The aim of the award scheme was to celebrate the amazing performances and effort young people put into music across Hampshire.
There were incredible performances at the event held at Thornden Hall on the 19th of October including a medley from our very own Rubik’s Cube. At Osborne School we pride ourselves on our commitment to Music. We have 2 school shows each year, we have our Makaton and Rubik’s Cube choirs, we have individual drum tuition, music lessons, music therapy and our entry for ‘Rock Challenge’ each year.
