Ben & Jack (Year 10) win National Award for their WW1 remembrance video

Jack and Ben from Year 10 have just returned from the House of Lords with a National award in recognition of their brilliant World War remembrance video. The young men visited the Battlefields of World War One in the Spring Term and filmed their experience (See the YouTube Video below).

The Legacy 110 project aims for all pupils who visit the World War One Battlefields to create a project that helps remember the sacrifice made by men and women in the First World War. Ben and Jacks film was selected out of 1600 schools across the UK, and was one of six that won an award.

Ben and Jack were presented their award by Winchester MP Steve Brine.

They also received a signed book with World War One memories and illustrations. After the awards, the young men and staff got a VIP tour of the Houses of parliament.  Well done Jack and Ben.
