David runs the London Marathon for Friends of Osborne School
Below is an article written by staff member Emma Dowinton and mother of Adam Dowinton. Adam attended Osborne School pupil until he sadly passed away last year.
My brother decided to run the London marathon in memory of Adam to raise funds for FOS (Friends of Osborne School). He finished in 5hrs 58 minutes running in the hottest heat ever recorded for the London Marathon, funds raised for FOS already stand at over the £2,000 mark plus gift aid.
Here is David at the start point.
And here he is with his medal at end.
What is crazy is that the end photo is not too different from start photo, you just can’t see he’s run 26 miles in ridiculous heat.
This other photo is the official London Marathon wall where people taking part can show their messages, my brother is not a showy person but you can see his quiet message to Adam.
