Salary Details:              Starting Salary: Grade C, Step 1 – £17,224

Hours of Work:             37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Job/Person Summary

Osborne School is a special educational needs provision catering for secondary pupils and Post 16 students who have learning, communication and physical difficulties that range from moderate to severe.

We equip our community with the skills essential to continue learning throughout life. This takes place within a secure and happy environment where everyone demonstrates respect for themselves and for the feelings and beliefs of others.

We are inclusive in ethos and celebrate the achievements of all. We seek to enable every learner to fulfil their personal and individual potential. We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator who has proven IT skills to include word processing, mail merge, spreadsheets, email and databases.

The post holder must have good interpersonal skills, be prepared to play a team role and have the ability to function in what is often a demanding environment. Although part of the general administration team, the post holder will have specific responsibilities for Education Health Care Plans, Annual Reports and assisting with exams.

Candidates will need to have a professional attitude, be able to relate easily with pupils, parents, school staff and visitors, whilst maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) in English, you will be self motivated, methodical, calm under pressure and able to prioritise your own workload. A clear understanding of the safeguarding and health and safety requirements of a school will also have to be demonstrated. A sense of humour is also essential.
