With the Centenary year since the end of WW1 being celebrated, On Monday 12th November 8EHCP visited Winchester Cathedral grounds to research and study the War memorials. The students have been learning about the importance of commemorating the people who lost their lives in WW1 & 2. The students learnt what the memorials were called and also particular individuals who gave their lives to the War.
We enjoyed reading all of the comments on each of the wreaths that had been laid on Remembrance Sunday and we were quick to spot our very own Osborne School wreath.
The students admired the many poppies which had been handmade and attached to the gates. We had an enjoyable afternoon and all of the students were very respectful towards the grounds and memorials.
