Christmas Lunch at Osborne School

I had the pleasure of joining school for Christmas lunch today. I was amazed when I first arrived at school that it was so calm on such an exciting day. There was an air of anticipation but staff were managing the levels of excitement very well.

The whole school were in the hall or in the classroom opposite. Once all the students were seated in the hall the leadership team, processed in – dressed as characters from Harry Potter. The students loved this and cheered loudly – especially when they saw the “Sorting Hat” coming round.

The leadership team, catering staff and a few other helpers served over 200 Christmas dinners. As you can imagine this took a while but the students waited incredibly patiently whilst watching Harry Potter, colouring or doing small activities the staff had brought with them.

It was a very festive occasion with lots of happy staff and students and a nice start to the final countdown of Christmas activities.
