Rubik’s Cube @ Music for Youth National Festival, Birmingham

On Wednesday the 3rd of July, 22 members represented Rubik’s Cube at the National Music for Youth competition. We travelled all the way to Birmingham on a coach. It took a long time to get there but we all had lovely packed lunches and did some singing too!

When we arrived at Birmingham we went straight to the Symphony Hall. The hall was beautiful, there were lots of people watching us in the audience. We even had some fans amongst the crowd. It was nerve wracking but we were ready! We performed with our usual colourful engaging energy! Everybody performing with their heart and soul. Barnaby, Jenna, Gracie, Lauren, Jacob, Evie and James did some great solo performances. The crowd joined in with clapping, people were waving up in the gods! We sang some classics as well as some new songs.

Some of our spectacular feedback included

“Wonderful personalities”

“They had chosen beautifully the strengths of the group” “Really infectious enthusiasm”

“I haven’t seen one choir today or indeed on other days that have so much wanted to make everyone join in along for the ride”

“you gave us a real treat” “Everybody in the choir knew what was coming next”

“The hall just frankly wanted more. We’ve had a fantastic time”.

We had a fantastic time too! Thank you Music For Youth! We had an absolute ball! Thank you to the staff who supported the trip and to our parents and carers too!
