Parent Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

I hope you are well and that you are following the continued advice from the Government which currently is on a daily basis. I hope that you are managing to work with the Osborne learning hub, we have emailed staff today to ensure that they create work in Word rather than PDF as I know that some of you were finding this a difficulty.

This evening you will receive an email giving you details of the new phone number and contact details you need to use for future contact with the school. As of today Osborne school building is closed as the need for childcare provision is not required and numbers have fallen dramatically since last nights announcement from the government.

However, this does not mean that we are not there for you and we will do everything we can to support you. The advice is that pupils are safer at home, but I am more than willing to reopen the building should the need arise. Please do not hesitate in contacting me on the contact details that will be sent to you this evening.

For those pupils who are currently on free school meals you should hopefully receive a voucher in the post by Friday this week as long as the post is not disrupted.

Many of you who have pupils in year 11, 12, 13, 14 who are leaving will realise that they may not return to school this academic year. I know this is very sad for you as parents as well as us for staff and I would like to offer a little reassurance that once we are able to return to school we will be putting plans together to ensure that pupils get thre leavers assembly and Prom.

That just leaves me to thank you for your continued support and kind words which many of you have sent through.

STAY SAFE

STAY HOME

WASH YOUR HANDS

Kind regards,

Sonia White
