It’s the Autumn term and it’s been fantastic to see the young people learning again in our classrooms!
Class SH – Kizzy is doing ‘Play Your Cards Right’ in maths – predicting whether the next number will be higher or lower and using reasoning to explain why, e.g all the cards above 7 are already there Megan is rolling 2 dice to make a two-digit number and placing them on a number line George is writing positive text messages in ICT
Class JW – A busy start to the return to school with all students taking on the challenge of maintaining social distancing while still working hard. Students in JW have been focussing on Gothic Horror in English lessons. We have still be getting out and ensuring that we are making the most of the sunny weather while still doing our PE lessons.
OsKings – Above are some pictures of the pupils working towards their ASDAN short course certificate in Citizenship.
Class GJ – Above are some pictures of the pupils working towards their ASDAN short course certificate in Beliefs and Values. They were asked to pose as confident individuals.
8HHLT – The class having their first ‘TacPac hybrid class and zoom’ lesson
16AM – We have been very busy since our return. Developing skills for independent living and employment has been a key focus and our industrious efforts will surely serve us well in the future. It’s not all work though. We’ve been taking advantage of the autumn sun to hone our basket-ball skills. The group have shown that their sense of co-operation makes them operate well as a team. There’s individual flare too, with many impressive baskets shot and some fine dribbling. Of course, in these times we have to be extra aware of hygiene and the appropriate measures are being taken.
Class KH – The pupils have been exploring colour during science and options this week, and have all worked well to complete their tasks.
Here is a video of Dillon Walking. Well done, Dillon!
