FOS Christmas Fayre moves online!

Dear Parents and Carers,

Friends of Osborne School are usually very active around this time of year with many events happening both in and out of school. This year, obviously, is very different. FoS are still keen that we will hold as many of our usual events as we can, in a very different way. We still plan on holding our pupil present sale where your wonderful young people buy and wrap presents for you and your close family. Also, your young people will still be getting a gift from Santa at the end of term.

Our biggest festive event is our annual Christmas Fayre. We are really disappointed that we will be unable to welcome you into school at the beginning of December for this years event. Santa is very upset that his grotto can’t open this year either, and the elves are working hard making toys for next year while they are self-isolating!

We aren’t going to let Lockdown stop us though. The FoS Christmas Fayre moves online! It will be held over the weekend of 5th-6th Dec. Confirmed so far are Christmas Bake Off, a raffle and ‘Guess the Sweets in the Jar’. Many things will be added in the next few weeks. So keep an eye out for details. One of the best parts of our Fayre is the many craft stalls and local businesses that come along to sell their wares.

So you don’t miss out on this we have set up the FoS Christmas Market. Find it on Facebook here – https://www.facebook.com/groups/652962805341788/.

If you would like to sell in the group all you need to do is join the group and donate £10 to our Just Giving page – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/fosxmas.

This is the same amount we normally charge for a table at our Fayre. Already we have over 100 members waiting to buy your goods!

The committee at FoS are very keen that Christmas 2020 will be as normal as possible for our students, parents/carers and the staff. Please enjoy all the festive events we have planned in the build up to the big day and from all of us at FoS have a lovely Christmas.
