National Citizen Service 2021
On June 14th – 25th Year 11 and Osborne College students were given the opportunity to be instructed by The NCS group (National Citizenship Service) to introduce them to skills needed for later in life that will help them live a full life experience.
The students had the opportunity to experience the following activities:
Escape Room
Sports Day market stall
Woodmill which involved Canoeing, Climbing, Low Ropes and Archery.
Candle Making
Smoothie Making
T-shirt Making
Gardening
Osborne Mile charity walk
Baking Cookies
Movie Making
Communications with partners and radios
Ballroom Dancing
The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and enjoyed working with different students within the school that they may not have seen in a long time due to COVID.
For some the NCS programme gave them an insight into what they may want to visit in future employment, for others it was a taste of the different activities that they may take part in at college.
Not only did they take away their t-shirt that they designed and made, cookies and candles but they also left with some great memories, experiences and friends.
