Job/Person Summary

Osborne School is a special educational needs provision catering for secondary pupils and Post 16 students who have learning, communication and physical difficulties that range from moderate to severe.

We equip our community with the skills essential to continue learning throughout life. This takes place within a secure and happy environment where everyone demonstrates respect for themselves and for the feelings and beliefs of others.

We are looking to recruit experienced administrators.  This role will suit one 37 hour per week post or two candidates who can work opposite each other.  The post holders will have proven IT skills to include word processing, mail merge, spreadsheets, email and databases. They will have good interpersonal skills, be prepared to play a team role and have the ability to function in what is often a demanding environment. Although part of the general administration team, the post holders will have specific tasks associated with the processes for Education Health Care Plans/Annual Reviews and Annual Reports.

Candidates will need to have a professional attitude, be able to relate easily with pupils, parents, school staff and visitors, whilst maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) in English, you will be self-motivated, methodical, calm under pressure and able to prioritise your own workload. A clear understanding of the safeguarding and health and safety requirements of a school will also have to be demonstrated. A sense of humour is also essential.

Learning Support Assistants – Days and Hours Negotiable

Contract/Hours:           Permanent, Part-time

Salary Type:                Support Staff

Salary Details:             To be discussed depending on experience, qualifications and hours agreed

Hours of Work:            Monday to Friday, term time only, 39 weeks per year, hours to be agreed

Location of Role:         Osborne School – possible days at Osborne Provision based at Kings School

Job/Person Summary

Osborne School provides education for children from 11 to 19 years of age who have learning, communication and physical difficulties that range from moderate to severe. We offer quality education in a caring atmosphere making use of attractive, high quality facilities.

We are seeking to appoint Learning Support Assistants with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude, who have a commitment and passion to work with pupils with a wide and diverse range of SEND. We require staff that can support learning, deliver therapies, supervise and care for students.  In September 2019 we opened a new provision based at Kings School in Winchester and occasionally staff may be asked to work from here.

Our Learning Support assistants work in close partnership with class teachers to promote learning for all students.
