RE Day – Easter

On Thursday 7th April we held an RE Day with an Easter theme. The students learnt about how eggs are a symbol of new life within the Christian tradition at Easter time. They painted eggs and considered what eggs made them think about. They watched a video of a chick hatching from an egg and found out that eggs can be a reminder or ‘symbol’ of new life. The students learnt about the Christian Easter story and how people of the Christian faith believe that Jesus died and then rose again. When we eat Easter eggs they remind us of this new life.
