University of Winchester volunteers visit
On a beautiful early summer day we were so lucky to have a group of 6 wonderful volunteers from the University of Winchester visit us to help us to maintain our school garden and Forest area. The volunteers were a hardy and enthusiastic bunch and in the morning they worked really hard to clear and trim areas in the Forest and to sweep our path to keep the area safe and well maintained for our pupils. We are working hard to further develop our Forest area so that we can provide another amazing space for our pupils to work and learn in. After a break for lunch and well-earned cups of tea and coffee they then moved on to the garden and helped us massively by painting the potting benches and with general tidying and maintenance tasks. Huge thanks go to Pen Bates (Connor’s Mum who left Osborne five years ago) and Nina Lazarski who organized the volunteers and the day for us and we are hoping that this will become a regular event and will help us to forge a closer relationship with the University of Winchester. Enormous thanks also go to: Penelope Bates, Kath Whiting, David Darrock, Adam Quinney, Lisa Guest and Maisie James

Looks fantastic!
