Rubik’s Cube perform at The Royal Albert Hall | Music for Youth Proms 2022
Rubik’s Cube returned to the Royal Albert Hall for the fourth time last Tuesday as part of the Music for Youth proms 2022. It was a huge task arranging the trip but eventually we made it to this gorgeous historic venue, with perfect weather welcoming us when we arrived. We now match The Beatles, who also performed at the venue four times! A huge thank you goes to Tom in Year 11 at OsKings’ who provided us with excellent photos and video footage of the event – you’re a star!

We made our way backstage, then quickly onstage for our soundcheck.

Then it was time for dinner, make up, practicing, fun and getting ready for the performance. Pupils (and staff) spent the hours getting ready, taking selfies and meeting the Music for Youth press team.

Then it was showtime, a quick portrait of (most of) the choir and we were ready to rock!

The pupils performed brilliantly, we are so proud of them. An excellent show! Well done, Rubik’s Cube! A huge thank you goes to all the staff, parents and carers who helped make all this possible. A huge massive thank you to Matt Heanes from Music for Youth for your support and help getting us on that stage! Music for Youth has given our young people some incredible memories, what a fantastic organisation. Music for Youth is a charity, please visit their website to find out more of what they do: https://www.mfy.org.uk/

Until next time…..
