Governors Vacancies

Osborne School have a number of vacancies for school Governors.

If you are a parent, professional or staff member, and you feel you can make a valuable contribution towards raising standards of achievement for our young people, we would like to hear from you. As a governor, your role would include supporting the Headteacher and senior leadership team drive the strategic development of the school.

The governing body’s main tasks are:

To ensure that the school has a clear vision, ethos and strategic direction;

To hold the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and it’s pupils;

To oversee the financial performance of the school, making sure it’s money well spent.

Training and support will be available to help you develop into the role. This will include in-house mentoring and support as well as access to external governor training.
