Below is what ESINT will be learning this term:

English This half term our English lessons will be based on a theme – “Pirates”. We will be working on stories such as “Treasure Island” and “Pirates of Caribbean”. We will find out how to be a pirate and go on adventure to find a treasure chest.
English – Home learning opportunities Take you son/daughter to a library and read some books about pirates. Watch Pirates of Caribbean movie.
Maths We continue to work on the four strands of maths and develop our skills in number, shape space and measure, handling data and using and applying.
Maths – Home learning opportunities Develop functional maths skills:

Practice identifying and using money when visiting the shops.

Pupils could explore time by becoming aware what activities you do each day, e.g. brush your teeth in the morning/evening, go to bed in the evening, etc.

Count objects- setting the table, food shopping and sorting laundry.

Science In Science we will look at water density and distillation.
Science – Home learning opportunities Do some experiments at home – which objects will sink and which float.
Computing Pupils have individual targets which range from interacting with technology using switches to using a keyboard to input text into a computer. Pupils experience a range of technologies including household items, iPads, Computers and cameras.
